Some of the images here show how the artworks vary within each edition.
In the prints depicting the geology of northern Labrador, I used interference and iridescent pigments in acrylic underpainting. In the print Labrador Rockface — Anorthosite Wall, this is an allusion to the gemstone Labradorite, which is found in anorthosite, an igneous rock. Labradorite also symbolically references the northern lights, being the chthonic manifestation of the aurora borealis, according to Inuit myth. The iridescence in these prints also connects to my Nocturne series.
Prints from some of these varied editions are still available. Because works within each edition may vary widely, please contact me for further information or to request to see other prints.
